For dealerships using CARVID's text messaging features, we collect mobile phone numbers when a customer provides one — either by texting a dealership's number directly, or by submitting a phone number and consenting to text messages through a dealer page or vehicle listing.
We use these phone numbers solely to send and respond to text messages related to vehicle inquiries, appointment scheduling, and appointment confirmations on behalf of the dealership the customer contacted. Messages may be sent using an automated system.
Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Customers can reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or reply HELP for assistance.
SMS consent and phone numbers are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not sell this information. Phone numbers collected for text messaging are used only to facilitate communication between the customer and the dealership. The advertising, retargeting, and "sharing" practices described elsewhere in this policy do not apply to phone numbers collected for text messaging.

Event data and advertising attribution information from dealer pages and vehicle listings is retained for up to 24 months, after which it is aggregated or deleted.
