Owini and CARVID are often compared, but they're built for different jobs. Owini replaces your CRM and your BDC. CARVID runs Facebook Marketplace and feeds the CRM you already have. This page lays out where each one is stronger, including where Owini genuinely wins, and corrects several claims about CARVID published on Owini's comparison page in July 2026.
This table compares CARVID and Owini across Marketplace posting, CRM, AI, and lead delivery for car dealer Facebook Marketplace software.

Two things about Owini are genuinely stronger than CARVID, and if either matters to your store, you should look at them seriously.
Owini ships a 9-stage pipeline, a seven-channel omnichannel inbox, speed-to-lead tracking, and rep leaderboards. That's a system designed to replace VinSolutions or DealerSocket outright.
CARVID includes a lightweight CRM in the mobile app: conversations organized by VIN, buyer contact details, and appointments. It's built to manage Marketplace conversations, not to run your whole store. If you're looking to replace your dealership CRM, Owini is the more complete product and CARVID isn't the tool for that job.
Owini's outbound voice AI calls leads from CarGurus, Autotrader, Cars.com, Facebook lead ads, ADF email, and OEM portals. That's broad ingestion across your whole lead flow.
CARVID offers voice AI for dealerships as well, but it's built around the Marketplace conversations CARVID generates. If your priority is auto-calling every internet lead from every third-party source, Owini's ingestion is wider.
This is the actual choice, and it isn't about feature counts. Owini is built to replace your dealership's CRM. The pipeline, the inbox, the voice AI, the price-drop automation: they work because Owini owns the database. That's a genuine architecture advantage, and it's also a migration. Your reps learn a new system, your process moves, and your existing CRM contract has to go.
CARVID is built to feed the CRM you already run. Marketplace listings, buyer conversations, qualified leads, delivered in ADF into VinSolutions or DealerSocket or whatever your reps already live in. Nothing to migrate, nothing new for the floor to learn.
If your CRM is working and your problem is Marketplace, CARVID is the narrower, cheaper fix. If your CRM is the problem, that's a different purchase and Owini is a reasonable place to look.
Both tools post through a Chrome extension. How they do it differs, and after Meta tightened Marketplace enforcement in 2026, dealers are asking about this more than they used to.
Bulk posting from inventory scraped across 11 sites. Human-cadence posting using Gaussian keystroke timing, occasional typo-and-correct, and Bezier cursor paths. Posts from your own Facebook account with a configurable daily cap and a typing-speed preset.
The scraping approach means listing data originates from third-party websites rather than your DMS. Images are pulled from those external servers rather than uploaded from your computer. Facebook can see that image sources don't match a normal user upload pattern. Scraped data can also create pricing inconsistencies between your DMS, the source site, and Facebook, which matters under FTC pricing enforcement.
Posts from a structured DMS feed. Runs on your dealership's own computer, inside the Facebook session your rep is already signed into. CARVID never receives a Facebook password and there is no account to link. Posting is paced per account, up to 9 vehicles per day, per staff account.
Because the data comes from your DMS feed, pricing and vehicle details stay consistent across every platform. Images are uploaded directly from your machine through your browser session, so Facebook sees a normal user upload from your dealership's IP address, not images hosted on a third-party datacenter server.
Both are extension-based and both post from a dealership's sales reps own accounts. The key differences: where the listing data comes from (scraped third-party sites vs. your DMS), how images reach Facebook (external server URLs vs. local browser upload), and how volume is handled. Draw your own conclusion, and ask both vendors directly what happens to your account if Meta tightens further. Full guide: how to choose a safe Facebook Marketplace tool →
Owini's CARVID comparison page, published July 28, 2026, makes several statements about CARVID that are not accurate. Each is quoted directly below, with what the product actually does. Every capability listed here is live on all CARVID accounts and verifiable on a demo call or in the CARVID app on the App Store.
Owini states: "CARVID has no lead follow-up capability of any kind. No texting. No calling. No AI."
Reality: CARVID includes a built-in AI auto-responder that answers buyer messages in Facebook Messenger 24/7, answering vehicle questions, qualifying the buyer, and capturing contact details while your team is offline.
Owini states: "CARVID doesn't have a CRM. It doesn't have a pipeline. It doesn't track response times. It posts cars. That's the product."
Reality: CARVID includes a lightweight CRM in the mobile app. Every buyer conversation is attached to the vehicle's VIN, with the buyer's contact details and any appointment booked, so any rep can open a car and see its full conversation history. Owini's CRM is deeper (see above), but "it posts cars, that's the product" is not accurate.
Owini states: "The lead that clicks your CARVID listing lands in whatever inbox or CRM you've stitched together separately."
Reality: CARVID delivers qualified leads instantly to any dealer CRM via ADF, the auto industry's universal lead format: VinSolutions, DealerSocket, ELEAD, ProMax, AutoRaptor, Selly Automotive, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, and any other CRM that accepts ADF. Nothing is stitched together; it's a standard integration that takes minutes to configure.
Owini's comparison table marks "Sold cars auto-removed" as Partial and "Auto price updates on Facebook" as unavailable for CARVID.
Reality: Both are automatic. When a vehicle sells in your DMS, its listing comes down. When the price changes in your DMS, the Marketplace listing updates.
Owini states: "It pulls inventory from DMS integrations like HomeNet, DealerCenter, vAuto, and Frazer."
Reality: CARVID does not integrate with Frazer. This was corrected on our own site in August 2026; Owini's page appears to have been written from an earlier version.
It depends on what you're replacing. Owini is a full dealership platform: CRM, omnichannel inbox, outbound voice AI, price-drop automation, designed to replace your CRM and your BDC. CARVID is Facebook Marketplace automation that feeds the CRM you already use, and also posts the same inventory to eight more platforms with AI-generated video. If your CRM is the problem, look at Owini. If Marketplace is the problem, CARVID is the narrower fix.
Yes. CARVID's AI answers buyer messages in Facebook Messenger 24/7, qualifies the buyer, captures contact details, and delivers the lead into any ADF-compatible dealer CRM. Conversations are organized by VIN in the CARVID mobile app along with any appointment booked. Statements that CARVID has no follow-up capability are not accurate.
CARVID includes a lightweight CRM in the mobile app: conversations by VIN, buyer contacts, and appointments. It's built for managing Marketplace conversations, not for running the whole dealership. Owini's CRM is deeper: a 9-stage pipeline with a seven-channel inbox and speed-to-lead tracking. If you need a full dealership CRM, Owini's is the more complete product.
No. CARVID integrates with HomeNet, DealerCenter, vAuto, and other major DMS platforms. Frazer is not supported. Some third-party comparison pages list it because it appeared on our own site before August 2026.
CARVID runs on your dealership's own computer, inside the Facebook session your staff member is already signed into. We never receive a Facebook password and there's no account to link. Posting is paced per account, up to 10 vehicles per day, per staff account, so a store with five active accounts posts up to 50 a day.
CARVID starts at $249/mo. Owini's Vehicle Poster starts at $97/mo (Starter) or $147/mo (Pro); their full platform with CRM and AI BDC is $697–$797/mo. On posting alone, Owini's entry tiers are cheaper. CARVID's price includes eight additional platforms, AI video generation, AI Messenger reply, and ADF delivery into your existing CRM.
Under 24 hours.
Marketplace listings, AI buyer responses, VIN-organized conversations, and qualified leads delivered into your CRM across 9 platforms. The full lifecycle, not just posting.
